The Seabob F9 S is the performance member of the F9 series designed by Studio F. A. Porsche with CAYAGO. Against the base F9, it adds real hardware rather than trim: a 3.6 kW motor and 84 TP of thrust, a 1.2 kWh battery as standard (up to 50 minutes), and the Driving Stability System built in from the factory.
That last item is the headline difference. The Driving Stability System pairs extendable stern stabilisers with two foils to hold the craft level through acceleration and turns — it is an optional extra on the F9, and standard on the F9 S. Like the F9, the F9 S dives to a factory-set 3 m, settable up to 25 m.
Cayago does not publish a top speed for the F9 S, so we will not quote one as official. From our own fleet data it runs at roughly 20 km/h on the surface — approximate, per our fleet data, not a factory figure. Below is the full official spec sheet, what the Driving Stability System actually does, and who should step up to the S. For pricing, see the Seabob price guide.

The F9 S in one line
The F9 series is the product of Studio F. A. Porsche working with CAYAGO's engineers — titanium, magnesium and special ceramic coatings, with a digital thumb-operated accelerator and stepless power across Normal, Dive and Sport drive modes. The F9 S takes that same hull and cockpit and turns up the power.
Where the F9 carries 2.6 kW and 60 TP, the F9 S carries 3.6 kW and 84 TP, with a 1.2 kWh battery as standard rather than an option. The result is a craft that launches harder and holds the line better — the model experienced riders and charter owners usually gravitate towards.

What the Driving Stability System does
The Driving Stability System is the F9 S's signature feature, fitted as standard where it is an option on the F9. It combines extendable stern stabilisers with two foils to keep the craft level under acceleration, through tight turns and at speed — instead of the nose lifting or the tail sliding, the unit tracks straight and flat.
In practice it is the difference you feel the moment you pin the throttle: the F9 S digs in and stays composed, where a craft without it needs more body-weight correction to hold a line. For riders who push hard, and for charters putting guests on a machine for the first time, that stability is the reason to choose the S.
Battery and runtime
The F9 S runs the 1.2 kWh (48 V, 27 Ah) pack as standard — the same capacity the F9 only reaches with Battery Capacity Plus — for up to 50 minutes of sporty riding. It weighs in at approximately 25.9 kg.
A full safety charge takes about 6 hours; the optional Quick Charger brings that down to roughly 1.5 hours. As on the F9, the electronics begin stepping maximum power down from 30% battery as a reserve, so return before the indicator runs low.
Diving depth: 3 metres by default, 25 at most
The F9 S shares the F9's depth behaviour: it cuts out at 3.0 metres out of the box, the limit can be raised in steps up to 25 metres in the settings menu, and it resets to 3 m after each deeper dive. The motor cuts out if you exceed the set depth and only restarts above it.
Going below 3 m is for divers with a valid licence or under a qualified instructor, never alone — the depth sensor is a safety limit, not a calibrated dive gauge. Most of the time, even on the S, the default 3 m is where the fun is.
Who the F9 S is for
The F9 S is the choice when you want the full F9-series experience without compromise: more thrust, a bigger battery as standard, and the stability to actually use it. It is the model we point experienced riders and charter owners towards.
- Experienced riders — 84 TP and the Driving Stability System reward riders who push hard through turns and acceleration.
- Charter and yacht owners — the standard big battery and the stability make it the machine guests get on with least coaching.
- Anyone who outgrew the F9 — if 60 TP starts to feel like a ceiling, the S is the natural step up within the same series.
If budget or weight matters more than outright pace, the base F9 is lighter and cheaper. For what each costs to buy, see the Seabob price guide; to feel the difference for yourself, rent a Seabob — we run both models in the fleet.
