Seabob Models: F9, F9 S, F5, F5 S, F5 SR and SE63

The whole range in one place — official specs, the current lineup, the discontinued F5 classics, and how to pick between them.

Updated 20 October 2026

Cayago builds six Seabob models worth knowing: the F9 and F9 S (today's core range), the SE63 for Automobili Lamborghini (the flagship), and the older F5, F5 S and F5 SR, which have been discontinued but still turn up used and in rental fleets.

The short version: the F9 is the everyday Seabob, the F9 S adds the power and the Driving Stability System that make rough water and long runs comfortable, and the SE63 is a 6.3 kW, 35 kg machine built in Lamborghini colours. The F5 family is where you look for a proven second-hand unit.

Every number below comes from Cayago's official specification sheets — one important gap: Cayago publishes no official top speed for the F9 series, so we don't quote one. Where a speed appears for the F5 family, it is the figure from the official technical data sheet. For a firm price or a rental, talk to us on WhatsApp.

How to choose a Seabob model

The right model is mostly a question of three things: how you'll use it (surface fun, freediving, or running off your own boat), how long you want each charge to last, and whether you value the newer F9 cockpit and drive modes or the F5 family's proven second-hand value.

  • Surface riding and first-timers — the F9 is the natural entry point: lighter, stepless throttle, three drive modes, and the current production model with full factory support.
  • More power, longer runs — the F9 S adds the larger battery, a 3.6 kW motor and the standard Driving Stability System with extendable stern stabilisers and two foils.
  • Diving — every model dives, but depth limits differ: the F9 family cuts off at 3 m by default (settable to 25 m), while the F5 family defaults to 2.5 m and can be set to 40 m.
  • The flagship — the SE63 is for buyers who want the most powerful, lowest-volume machine, Lamborghini design and colours included.
  • Value on the used market — the F5, F5 S and F5 SR are no longer in production, which makes them the budget route into a genuine Seabob — with a close look at the battery first.

The current lineup: F9, F9 S and SE63

Cayago's current price list covers three models: the F9, the F9 S and the SE63. The F9 and F9 S share the same hull — 1,023 × 526 × 343 mm, designed with Studio F. A. Porsche — and differ mainly in motor, battery and the Driving Stability System.

The F9's six standard colours are Carex Yellow, Signum Red, Star White, Titanium, Meteo Silver and Navel Orange. The SE63 comes in Lamborghini's palette: Verde Gea, Giallo, Verde Selvans, Arancio Egon, Grigio Lynx and Bianco Siderale. See the F9, F9 S and SE63 pages for the full breakdown.

The F5 classics: F5, F5 S and F5 SR (discontinued)

The F5, F5 S and F5 SR are no longer in Cayago's current price list, which today covers only the F9, F9 S and SE63. The F5 series is now found mainly as used units and in established rental fleets — including ours.

  • F5 — 2.5 kW, 480 N of thrust, up to 14 km/h on the surface, four power levels, about 29 kg. The entry-level classic.
  • F5 S — 4.0 kW, 680 N of thrust, up to 20 km/h on the surface, six power levels, about 34 kg. The most common F5-series unit in fleets.
  • F5 SR — 4.5 kW, 745 N of thrust, up to 22 km/h on the surface, seven power levels, about 34 kg, with the SEABOB Cam (two full-HD cameras) and two rear fins as standard.

Rent or buy — which model makes sense

If you'll use a Seabob a few days a season, renting is the clear answer: a whole day with battery and charger starts at 150 EUR on our Flyspot side, delivered to your boat or beach, and our fleet covers the F9, F9 S, F5 and F5 S. That's how most people first meet the difference between models.

Buying starts to make sense when the unit lives on your own boat or earns money on a charter. If you're buying new, the choice is between the F9, the F9 S and the SE63; if you're happy with a proven machine and a careful battery check, a used F5 S or F5 SR is the value route.

See Seabob rental for daily and weekly rates, and the Seabob price guide for what each model costs new.

FAQ

Seabob model questions

What people ask us before they choose a model.

Which Seabob models are currently in production?

Cayago's current lineup is the F9, the F9 S and the SE63 for Automobili Lamborghini. The F5, F5 S and F5 SR are no longer in the price list and are now found mainly as used units and in rental fleets.

What is the difference between the F9 and the F9 S?

They share the same hull and stepless throttle. The F9 has a 2.6 kW motor and 60 TP of thrust, while the F9 S has a 3.6 kW motor and 84 TP, the larger 1.2 kWh battery as standard, and the Driving Stability System with extendable stern stabilisers and two foils.

How fast does a Seabob go?

Cayago publishes no official top speed for the F9 series, so we don't quote one for it. For the F5 family the official technical data sheet lists up to 14 km/h on the surface for the F5, 20 km/h for the F5 S and 22 km/h for the F5 SR.

Are the F5 models still worth buying?

Yes, if you buy carefully. The F5 series is out of production, so a used unit's battery condition and service history matter more than anything else. A well-kept F5 S is still a fast, capable Seabob, but check the battery before you pay.

What is the SE63?

The SE63 for Automobili Lamborghini is a complete redesign rather than a trim level: a 6.3 kW motor, 162 Power, 60 minutes of average operating time, a 25 m maximum depth and 35 kg, finished in Lamborghini's own colours.

Which Seabob should a beginner rent first?

The F9 or the F5 are the natural first rides — lighter and more forgiving. If you want more power or plan to cover distance on the surface, the F9 S is the step up. Our rental fleet runs F9, F9 S, F5 and F5 S, so you can feel the difference in one day.
